Let the student run the classroom with incredible science experiments!

It’s been a while since I’ve been a kid sitting behind a classroom desk with eager anticipation, while I thought about what the school day has in store for me. If I was lucky, I was in for an exciting, fun learning day filled with exciting lessons, fun recess with my friends and no too much homework. Well nowadays it seems that kids and teachers don’t get enough of that fun time in school, not necessarily because they don’t want to but because it’s tough sometimes to combine learning into fun. I always loved science experiments because it always had in it a surprise that would usually defy logic and give us something to remember for a long time.

Students don’t have to leave it up to the teacher to make the day exciting. Anyone can bring in an exciting science project or quick little experiment to liven up the day. My favorite was everything connected to light and color. It was just so cool to see the experiment light up the room. There’s nothing like seeing a bunch of waving colorful rainbow LED lightning sticks light up a dark and dreary winter night, or have the incredible Portable Light Doodler mesmerize and hypnotize everyone in the room.

There’s nothing quite as fun as science toys. And it’s always great to see someone’s face light up when they understand how the toy works. Whether it is a fog ring launching out of a blaster gun, or a potato gun that launches pellets, there’s always something special about getting together in school and taking a break from the standard textbook lessons to learn something new and exciting and see something fun and different.

My personal favorite has always been the eye-popping chemical reaction kits such as the magic iodine and oscillating reaction kits. But you can’t go wrong with anything that brings everyone together and leaves a positive learning and fun experience.
